Renewable Energy Systems (RES) Americas has initiated commercial operations at the 110MW Keechi Wind Project in Texas, US.
RES Americas, the developer for the project, had started its construction in December 2013.
The facility is located in Jack County in the US state. It houses 55 of Vestas’ V100-2.0 MW wind turbines.
The turbine installations for the wind project have also been done by RES Americas, which is a first for the company.
RES Americas CEO Andrew Fowler said: "The successful completion of the Keechi wind project included RES Americas self-performing the installation of 55 wind turbines.
"It was also extremely important to us to work closely with the local community in sourcing labour and materials to construct the project."
