Solon has begun commercial operations at a 15MW solar photovoltaic (PV) station located in central California, US.
Construction of the utility-owned project, located on 100 acres of land near Fresno, began in May this year.
The system utilises Solon’s Velocity MW cluster concept with fixed-tilt mounting and 75,000 solar panels.
The project has been built as part of Pacific Gas and Electric’s (PG&E) five-year 250MW solar energy programme.
Solon also constructed PG&E’s Vaca-Dixon solar PV pilot project in California in late 2009.
