The concrete towers for the wind facility will be produced at its own local factory in Areia Branca located near the site, while the nacelles will be built in the manufacturer’s plant in Bahia.

The German company said that it will obtain the rotor blades from Brazil to ensure that the project includes the maximum share of local production.

Following the completion of the fourth phase, the wind facility will feature 74 wind turbines.

In July 2018, Nordex signed a contract with a global utility company Enel Green Power to supply and install turbines with 595MW capacity for Lagoa dos Ventos wind farm in Brazil.
