Vestas has secured an order from Actis’ Brazilian subsidiary Echoenergia for the development of two windfarms with a total capacity of 53MW.
Echoenergia is a global investor focusing on private equity, energy and real estate asset management.
The projects involve construction of the 22MW Boa Esperança I wind park and the 31MW Pedra do Reino IV facility in the region of Sobradinho. Brazil.
Under the deal, Vestas will supply 24 units of locally manufactured V110-2.0MW wind turbines.
The order also includes a ten-year active output management (AOM 5000) service contract.
Vestas Brazil and Southern Latin America (LATAM) managing director Rogerio Zampronha said: “These two contracts show our strengths within customised solutions for auction bids and highlight our ability to win new projects in an otherwise quiet Brazilian wind market.
