The deal brings the partners' signed solar capacity to 872MW and supports Meta’s 100% clean energy goal, while generating long-term tax revenue for Bowie County and local institutions.
The deal adds 3.4GW of generation capacity and a 10.4GW pipeline to Sembcorp’s Australian operations.
The portfolio comprises 13 wind farms with a combined capacity of 402MW and six solar parks totalling 303MW, for an overall capacity of 705MW.
Locus Energy will take over the company holding the wind assets after receiving approval from the Swedish ISP.
The first phase is expected to connect to the grid in early 2027, with all 44 turbines for Nordseecluster A due by the end of 2026 and the full project set to generate around 6.5TWh a year.
