Envision Energy and GES have entered into a strategic partnership to scale battery energy storage systems (BESSs) and wind power in Spain and wider Europe, aiming to accelerate the region’s clean energy transition.

The agreement focuses on the large-scale deployment of BESSs and wind turbine generators (WTGs), reinforcing both companies’ positions in Spain’s renewable energy market.

The collaboration encompasses the entire value chain for BESS and WTG plants, including construction, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.

This approach aims to enhance efficiency and expedite the rollout of clean energy infrastructure across the region.

Under the framework agreement, Envision Energy will deliver training and digital tools to bolster GES’ technical and operational capabilities in both BESSs and WTGs.

In return, GES will utilise Envision Energy’s advanced digital platforms to improve project visibility, streamline order dispatching, and optimise execution efficiency.

GES CEO José Luis García Donoso said: “We are very proud that GES has been selected to support construction activities and provide technical services for the equipment supplied by Envision in Spain, Europe, and Latin America.

"This partnership enables developers to benefit from the expertise of a strong local company like GES for installation, operation and after-sales service.

“Envision's technology is a perfect complement to our strategy of implementing innovative systems that support the sustainability of the power grid and reinforces our commitment to delivering solutions that advance the planet's energy transition.”

GES will also provide full engineering support for balance of plant construction, including grid connection works, along with transport and installation ervices for BESS and WTG components.

Envision Energy senior vice-president and Latin America and the European region president Henry Peng said: "Our collaboration with GES goes beyond a business partnership - it reflects a shared vision to build a sustainable energy future through technology, innovation, and trust.

"By combining Envision's global expertise in AI-powered energy storage and smart wind solutions with GES' strong local resources and engineering capabilities, we aim to build a more robust renewable energy ecosystem and deliver higher-quality, more reliable project execution and long-term service support to the local market.

"Starting from Spain, we will jointly expand across Europe's growing energy storage and wind sectors, setting a new benchmark for integrated service excellence and advancing Europe's transition toward a clean energy future."

Last month, Envision Energy announced a partnership for Kazakhstan’s 1GW Mirny Wind Farm, marking the country’s inaugural renewable energy project.
