Electricity demand in the country is set to increase from 53TWh in 2025 to about 57.3TWh by 2030, with renewable capacity booming through solar PV, wind, and hydropower.
The agreement is intended to strengthen Novva’s position as it continues expanding across emerging markets.
The Čibuk 1 and 2 wind farms aim to boost renewables, supplying clean power to nearly 178,800 households annually.
The development is part of the company's broader US manufacturing expansion programme totalling around $1.5bn (Y232bn).
The agreement will see Masdar evaluate a 350MW expansion at its Garadagh solar plant and up to 200MWh of battery storage.
The agreement is supported by two new hybrid facilities that together provide 147MW of solar capacity and 79MW/237MWh of battery storage.
