Føn Energy Services has secured a multi-year contract to deliver integrated operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the 1.2GW Baltic Power offshore wind farm in Poland.

The agreement covers all subsea assets including foundations and cables at the Baltic Power site.

The contract will see Føn Energy Services manage a Balance of Plant programme that includes engineering, inspection and corrective maintenance, logistics, procurement, project management and planning, and vessel chartering.

Local Polish suppliers will support these operations. Environmental survey work is also included in the scope of the project.

Føn Energy Services CEO Sindre Rhrich said: “This contract reflects our ability to deliver integrated services for complex energy projects and marks an important step in establishing our presence in the Polish market.”

Baltic Power is a joint venture between ORLEN Group and Northland Power.

The 1.2GW wind farm, which will deploy 76 turbines, each rated at 15MW, is reported to be the most advanced offshore wind initiative in Poland and the first to enter the construction phase.

Once operational, Baltic Power is expected to supply around 3% of the country’s electricity demand.

Baltic Power CEO and president of the management board Maciej Stryjecki said: “This is a valuable boost for developing local content in offshore wind.”

Polish companies are already involved in the supply chain, with local content anticipated to exceed 21% throughout the lifespan of the wind farm.

Føn Energy Services said the contract will support its plans to increase its presence in Poland.

Last month, the Baltic Power project announced the installation of its 50th turbine out of a planned total of 76. Mandatory power and infrastructure testing is due to begin in the coming weeks.

Completion of the turbine installation campaign is anticipated in the second half of 2026.
