Solar Landscape closes $150m financing with CIP for solar projects

The company expects the funding to help move early-stage developments through to construction.

Solar Landscape has finalised a development financing facility of up to $150m with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Green Credit Fund II (CI GCF II), for its solar projects.

The agreement will provide the US-based distributed energy infrastructure company with flexible funding to accelerate the development of solar projects across its national pipeline.

The financing is set to initially support a portfolio of around 250MW-direct current (MWdc) of mid and late-stage solar assets.

Solar Landscape plans to use the funds to advance project activities such as equipment procurement, interconnection, offtake agreements and pre-construction sponsor development services at an earlier point in the project cycle.

The company expects this to help move early-stage developments through to construction, bringing new electricity generation online more quickly.

Additionally, the financing enables it to continue building its development platform and execute future project portfolios, alongside a series of recent investments and finance arrangements.

These include a $600m senior debt facility, a $125m revolving credit facility and a $117m preferred equity investment, which together have raised the company’s total capital to more than $2.2bn in the past three years.

Solar Landscape chief financial officer Clayton Avent said: “We deeply appreciate CIP’s partnership in providing us with revolving development capital that increases the throughput of our development platform, allowing us to advance projects more efficiently and bring new distributed energy infrastructure online faster.

“Just as importantly, it reflects the confidence that sophisticated institutional investors have in our structured finance and execution capabilities as well as our long-term growth strategy.”

This investment is the fourth for CI GCF II following its first close of €1.3bn ($1.5bn) in March 2026.

Solar Landscape stated that the additional funding supports its efforts to help utilities, real estate owners and communities bring new renewable generation online at a faster pace, reinforcing its approach of scaling up distributed energy infrastructure.
