LM Wind Power has temporarily stopped production at Grand Forks wind turbine manufacturing facility after several employees tested positive for Covid-19. The company in a statement said that it is now disinfecting and cleaning the facility that employs about 900 workers.

The Indian Government in its revised guidelines has allowed construction of renewable energy projects after the nationwide lockdown period has been extended until 3 May. The Ministry of Home Affairs said that a few additional activities would also be allowed, which would come into effect from 20 April. Oil and gas exploration and refinery will also be exempted from the lockdown.

Bradwell B has decided to extend the public consultation over its new nuclear power station plan for a further five weeks due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. The consultation, which was initiated last month, will now last until 1 July. The project is expected to create approximately 900 permanent jobs.

Enel North America has committed $1.3m to support community-based Covid-19 relief works across the US and Canada. The company will support more than 75 local organisations on the frontlines of the Covid-19 coronavirus response, including first responders, community and rural hospitals.
