NovaWind, the wind energy division of Rosatom, has recently started construction of two new wind farms in the south of Russia. Marchenkovskaya wind farm, located in the Rostov region, and the Karmalinovskaya wind power plant in Stavropol Krai have total capacities of 120MW and 60MW, respectively.
Lightsource BP has selected McCarthy Building Companies’ Renewable Energy & Storage team as the EPC contractor for the 300MW solar project in Colorado, US. Located on 1,800 acres of land, the project will involve the installation of approximately 750,000 Canadian Solar crystalline solar panels and NEXTracker single-axis trackers.
Apex Clean Energy has reached an agreement to sell its 500MW White Mesa wind farm in Crockett County, Texas, to an undisclosed buyer. The deal encompasses a series of power purchase agreements that Apex negotiated with corporate clients. The wind farm is expected to complete development this year and commence commercial operations next year.
The Indian government has granted a five month extension to the scheduled commercial operation date of power transmission projects impacted by the coronavirus lockdown. However, the extension will not be applicable for projects with an operation date before 25 March 2020, when the lockdown was enforced.
