Russian nuclear agency Rosatom expects the Covid-19 pandemic to affect some of its overseas contracts. However, the Tass news agency reports it will not revise its portfolio of construction projects. The agency said Egypt has deferred the issuing of a construction licence for the planned El Dabaa nuclear power plant to the second half of next year.

Korea Western Power (KOWEPO) has implemented Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure software to ensure continuous power supply throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Nutanix claimed its technology will allow KOWEPO to support its Virtual Desktop Infrastructure deployment, to deliver remote work capabilities to its workers.

Verizon Communications has signed four new long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) covering over 450MW of renewable energy capacity. The telecom group entered into two PPAs with Brookfield Renewable for a total of up to 160MW of capacity. The other two PPAs was signed with First Solar for an aggregate of up to 296MW of capacity.

TSK has brokered a deal to sell its operational solar power plants in Spain to Q-Energy, the renewable asset fund manager of Qualitas Equity. As part of the agreement, the company has transferred a portion of its subsidiary Esersa. Particularly, it transferred its stakes in the La Africana solar thermal plant and in the photovoltaic facilities of Sirius Solar, Madrigalejo, and Rosalejo.
