Alfa Standard - Bus Ducts, Switchgear and Panel Boards For Production PlantsAlfa Standard design and manufacture Isolated Phase Bus Ducts (IPB), cubicles, compartments, switchgears and other generation bus systems and sub-systems. We meet all applicable worldwide standards e.g. International (IEC), USA (ANSI) or Canadian (CSA) as well as several domestic and regional laws and regulations. BUS DUCTSWe produce all the various type of bus ducts needed for all types of production plants, which include a wide range of Isolated Phase Bus (IPB) for medium and large power generation plants. For smaller generation plants and all industrial plants we produce non-segregated phase buses. Non-segregated and segregated buses may vary from IP31 to IP55. The IPB enclosure is normally aluminum although there are copper conductors. ISOLATED PHASE BUS TYPE CXIsolated Phase Bus type CX is characterized by the use of an aluminium conductor that is supported by porcelain insulators. Air is the main insulating medium, used primarily in the transport of large power from a generator to a GSU transformer in large thermo-electric, nuclear and hydro power plants (up to 50,000A or 36kV). ISOLATED PHASE BUS TYPE MRIsolated Phase Bus type MR has the same characteristics as type CX except that the insulators may be either porcelain or resin. It is used primarily in the transport of power in medium size power plants (up to 16,000A or 24kV). ISOLATED PHASE BUS TYPE MPIsolated Phase Bus type MP is using the same technologies of the types CX and MR, designed to have the most economical solution for the transport of power in hydroelectric, gas turbine and combined cycle power plants of a smaller capacity, which adds to the possibility of housing a copper conductor (up to 10,000A or 24kV). STANDARD BUS MV AND LVMV and LV standard buses are also known as either segregated or non-segregated phase buses with a copper conductor. The insulators may be either porcelain or resin. The internal conductor can be either bare or insulated by means of heat-shrinkable tape or other suitable insulating systems. This bus is often used in industrial or distribution plants (for systems up to 7,000A or 24kV). We also supply generation bus cubicles and auxiliary compartments as well as air forced cooling or pressurization systems. SWITCHGEARS AND PANEL BOARDSWe also design, manufacture, test and install a wide range of switchgear and panel boards either in medium or low voltages. Design is carried out by highly sophisticated three-dimensional engineering software that allows for an easy development of the structure. DISTRIBUTION BOARDSThe MV primary distribution board (metal and motor clad) is typically applied from 3kV to 36kV and from 630A to 3150A. The LV main distribution board is typically applied up to 690V and up to 5000A with interrupting up to 100kA. The LV motor control center, mainly used for supplying and operating motor feeders, is applied up to 690V and up to 1600A.
