High Voltage Inc has introduced the new Q-Check concentric neutral resistance tester used for maintaining system stability, reliability and safety.
The Q-Check tester injects an AC current through a live cable neutral and measures the voltage drop to calculate the resistance of the neutral. This then determines the level of deterioration and how many strands have opened due to corrosion.
The tester is a vital tool for URD systems and to measure the resistance of substation ground cables.
