T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in January 2020 with 74 tenders and a 50% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 50 tenders and a 33.8% share and Energy Storage with 14 tenders and a 9.5% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 69 tenders and a 93.2% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four tenders and a 5.4% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 1.4% share.

Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in January 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for two tenders with a 66.7% share, followed by hydro with one tender and a 33.3% share.
