China power industry registered a 23.4% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.77% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.62% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.37% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.31% in July 2021, an 187.5% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 11.49% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 4.6%, registering a 300% rise from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.45%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in China IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China power industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Siemens posted 78 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 271.43% over the previous month, followed by Ming Yang Smart Energy Group with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Senvion with 3 IT jobs and Littelfuse with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 90.8%, up by 182.14% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 4.6% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 2.3% share, flat growth over June 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 2.3%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
