Birnin Kebbi Substation is a 330/132kV substation located in Birnin Kebbi, Kano, Nigeria. The construction works on Birnin Kebbi Substation began in 2018. The project was commissioned in 2019.

Description

The Birnin Kebbi Substation project is a new substation being operated by Transmission Company Of Nigeria.

The designed voltage level of the project is 330/132kV, while the operating voltage level is 330/132kV. The step-in voltage of the substation is 330kV and the step-out voltage is 132kV. The substation capacity is 150MVA.

Birnin Kebbi Substation has received approval from Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to undertake the works on the project. Approximately $0.11m was financed by the authorities for the construction works of the project.
