E-CO Energi and Statkraft are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 93% and 7% respectively.
Aurland III is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 448 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 400m. The project generated 350 GWh of electricity.
The project has 2 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 150 MVA.

Contractors Involved
Rainpower was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 135MW nameplate capacity.
