Siemens WindPower has chosen offshore marine and engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore to deliver a wide range of assessments for turbine service operations.

Services are to be carried out by a jack-up vessel, which can be used to maintain offshore turbines on several windfarms located in the North Sea, in northern Europe.

Aqualis Offshore’s UK office will conduct a range of generic assessments covering a series of water depths. It will also take environmental conditions where the jack-up vessel is scheduled into account.

"Services are to be carried out by a jack-up vessel, which can be used to maintain offshore turbines on several windfarms located in the North Sea, in northern Europe."

Its chief executive officer David Wells said: "Our task is to help determine the criteria a given jack-up vessel can operate most efficiently and safely within.

"We are proud to be able to support Siemens and the installation work of this vessel."

Aqualis Offshore is part of the Oslo-listed Aqualis, which focusses primarily on the shallow and deep-water sections of the offshore oil and gas industry, as well as the offshore wind industry.
