Babcock and Wilcox Construction (BWCC) has secured a $37m contract to provide construction services for a bag house installation project at Consumers Energy’s J.H. Campbell Generating Complex in Michigan, US.
BWCC will also supply flues, insulation and structural steel for the 400MW coal-fired Campbell Unit 2’s particulate emissions-filtering bag house, in addition to performing construction, electrical and mechanical work.
Previously, the company was also awarded a contract to design and supply the plant’s NOx-reducing selective catalytic reduction system (SCR).
Work on the project site has already commenced and is scheduled to include both the SCR and bag house during a planned outage in March 2013.
BWCC is a subsidiary of the Babcock and Wilcox Company.
