The replacement process will include the removal of outdated cables and debris that are causing interference.

A preliminary survey will be conducted using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) equipped with multibeam sonar, along with visual inspections to assess the condition of the work area and identify any obstructions.

Bluestream will be responsible for routing and securing subsea cables through the J-tube, installing and connecting three ICCP buoy-mounted anodes and ensuring accurate positioning of the ICCP system around the jacket structure.

It will also place concrete mattresses to protect and stabilise the newly installed cables.

Once installation is complete, the system will undergo commissioning, functional testing and a final survey to confirm its full operational integrity.

The work will be performed from a DP-2 dive support vessel equipped with a walk-to-work system. A 24/7 offshore team consisting of divers, ROV pilots and supervisors will manage the subsea installation process.

Bluestream commercial manager Rutger Lieverse stated: “We are extremely proud of TenneT’s continued trust in Bluestream’s capabilities and honoured to be awarded the ICCP installation works at SylWin alpha.

“This project marks another milestone in our long-standing collaboration on subsea services, reinforcing our commitment to delivering excellence in offshore solutions.”
