The Detroit® Planetary Grate Drive with Load Cell offers a modern solution to common stoker drive problems. This system can be retrofitted to any traveling grate and replaces older hydraulic systems with a mechanical, planetary gear design. Direct shaft coupling improves efficiency, while continuous load cell monitoring helps protect internal components. The drive is capable of variable speed adjustment based on demand and includes forward/reverse jog capability to relieve jams from tramp material, improving system reliability and maintainability.
