In total, the permits cover 21 wind turbines. The approved projects comprise generation capacities of approximately 34MW, 43MW, 48MW and 17MW each.

With these latest approvals, Energiekontor reports that it has received permits for nine wind park projects in Germany during the 2026 financial year, totalling approximately 250MW of capacity.

Energiekontor management board member Günter Eschen said: “The latest permits represent further important achievements for our project development activities in Germany. They demonstrate that we continue to advance our German project pipeline even in a challenging market environment.

“Complex permitting procedures in particular require considerable experience, perseverance and close coordination with all parties involved. I would therefore like to express my particular thanks to our project teams and all colleagues who have driven these projects forward with great dedication. We will now continue to advance the projects through the next stages of development.”

Founded in Bremerhaven, Germany, in 1990, Energiekontor operates in the renewable energy sector as both a project developer and operator of wind and solar parks.

The company’s activities cover planning, construction and management of these parks in Germany and internationally.

Energiekontor also manages a portfolio of 41 wind and solar parks, with a total nominal power exceeding 460MW.

In July 2026, Energiekontor achieved financial close for the Kolitzheim-Herlheim solar park project in Bavaria, ensuring that funding is in place for the scheme. The company announced that this milestone allows construction of the solar park to commence.

The planned facility will have an installed capacity of approximately 11MW-peak, with commissioning expected in the first half of 2027.
