Windpark Linda, part of ERG Group, has won a wind farm project in an auction dedicated to the onshore wind power sector in Germany.

Construction of the 21.6MW project is set to start over the next few weeks, and is expected to be completed during the second half of next year.

Upon completion, the wind farm will have the capacity to generate approximately 50GWh of power, which will be equal to nearly 39kt of avoided CO2 emission annually.

Through an organic growth process, ERG intends to expand its footprint in one of the most important European countries for wind power development.

"The transaction is expected to increase ERG’s installed capacity in France to 300MW by the end of this year."

Prior to securing the wind power project, ERG through its subsidiary ERG Power Generation completed the acquisition of three energy companies.
