China’s photovoltaic (PV) module producer Risen Energy has started construction on its latest 117MW solar project in the Durango region of Mexico.
The facility is expected to supply 269,068MWh of green electricity to Mexico per annum.

For this project, Risen Energy will serve as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor. It will provide solar modules, which are claimed to offer a high output rate, as well as power generation with temperature resistance.
Risen Energy president Wang Hong said: “Our company is steadily advancing its expansion in Mexico.

Risen Energy is building its presence in the Mexican market. It is currently involved in a 300MW facility, which is also located in the Durango region in north-west Mexico. The facility has already entered the first stage of construction.

By GlobalDataUpon completion, the facility will be the single-unit PV power station with the highest installed capacity in Latin America.
Earlier this month, Risen Energy secured a 323MW supply contract from Ukraine-based DTEK Renewables.
The company will provide all modules required for the 240MWAC (323MWDC) PV Pokrovskaya SPP project in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. The new facility is reportedly one of the largest solarpower stations in the country.
