Established in 1989, TSI Turbo Service International has experienced substantial growth since its inception. Starting out as a small company in Southampton, TSI has expanded its operations to become a multinational turbocharger marine and power station service and spare parts supplier with offices and workshops located worldwide.

Alongside our own facilities, TSI has a network of strategically placed locations, expanding our networks to China, Dubai, Hong Kong, Houston, Italy, Malta, Norway, Rotterdam, Singapore, Southampton, Tallinn, and Turkey.

TSI prides itself on its team of highly trained engineers, all of whom are skilled in OEM standards and are continuously updated through training programs to keep abreast of the latest developments in the market. Our engineers have received training from renowned manufacturers such as MAN, Napier and Mitsubishi, and we are proud to have employed engineers who have worked with leading companies like ABB and MAN.

ACCREDITATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

To maintain optimal efficiency of a turbocharger and ensure workplace safety, a diverse range of engineering skills and comprehensive product knowledge are necessary.

TSI’s Engineers regularly attend OEM technical courses. TSI operate a continuous in-house training programme at all of our locations to ensure engineers are up to date with the latest turbo technology.

TSI have multiple modules of E-Training to ensure all of our staff are technically strong and up to date with the latest technology. Our engineering team also take part in training courses such as Forklift, First Aid, Health and Safety, Banksman, Balancing, and Rigging enabling TSI to be self sufficient during service works.

PURPOSE-BUILT WORKSHOPS

To provide unparalleled service to our esteemed clients, TSI has invested in purpose-built workshops in multiple locations, including Southampton (UK), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Houston (USA), Genoa (Italy), and Malta.

Our facilities are equipped with the latest machinery, which is diligently maintained and serviced to always ensure optimum performance.

Across the globe, our service facilities has exceptional proficiency when it comes to providing extensive repairs and reconditioning for all turbocharger makes.

Specifically, our Rotterdam service centre strategically operates in prime proximity to France, Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands areas for seamless service work.

Furthermore, our travelling engineers stationed within our service centres are available for international service needs.

We work closely with joint venture partners throughout China, Singapore and the Middle East to ensure that our customers experience a worldwide commitment.

In the UK, our service centre is conveniently located near Southampton and is supported by a separate newly opened 930sqm storage facility that houses our vast inventory of stock and continuously restocks our locations worldwide.

PURPOSE-BUILT STORAGE WAREHOUSE

In response to the growing demand for TSI’s high-quality spare parts, our UK operations were expanded in 2023 with the opening of our dedicated storage facility.

The new storage facility, located just under 300 meters away from our UK workshop, spans over 930sqm and has been upgraded to include the latest environmental control equipment to ensure optimal protection of stored parts.

Additionally, it is equipped with cutting-edge electronic communication systems, seamlessly integrated with our main office CRM systems, to ensure swift and efficient processing of spare parts from intake to dispatch to our workshops and clients.

100% QUALITY APPROVED

Upon completing the 100% QA inspection at TSI, each component is labelled with a unique barcode and TSI unique inspection number before being stored. This process allows for full traceability from supply to installation. Additionally, all TSI parts come with a 12-month warranty.

Our warehouse can accommodate everything from small overhaul kits and nozzle rings to larger service kits, rotors, casings, complete cartridges and even complete turbochargers. To further facilitate our operations, we also have a packing area equipped with all the necessary tools to create packaging crates of any size for our components.

By having complete control over the packaging, we are able to ensure the high quality of the materials used to distribute our parts. Additionally, our careful attention to detail guarantees that the parts are properly packed to accommodate any method of transportation.

TURBOCHARGER BEARINGS

TSI has partnered with NTN-SNR to assemble and promote a diverse range of top-quality roller bearings. NTN-SNR manufacture bearings for the Aerospace industry.

From our advanced bearing facility located in Rotterdam, TSI distributes a comprehensive selection of bearing units to the worldwide marine and power station market. NTN-SNR ensures optimal customer satisfaction by using only the highest quality steels and implementing full traceability in all manufacturing processes and operations.

EXCHANGE CARTRIDGES

As part of our service agreements, TSI offers exchange cartridges to ensure turbochargers are serviced promptly. This not only prevents engine downtime but also enables us to deliver economical repair options for any removed units.

Additionally, we strategically stock these cartridges and essential replacement components for swift dispatch, ensuring that our clients’ operations are not interrupted for longer than necessary.

TSI recognises the detrimental impact that a breakdown in any component of an asset can have on the operational efficiency of plant. Consequently, it is crucial that our clients are informed about where to turn in the event of an emergency in order to ensure smooth operation of their assets.

To this end, TSI collaborates with specialised logistic partners who maintain positive relationships with airlines across the globe, thereby ensuring expedited assistance whenever required. Additionally, TSI has been granted approval by airline security and facilitates the prompt dispatch of parts.

A comprehensive door-to-door service is offered to cover the entire supply chain, from collection to delivery, while handling customs. We have a dedicated project team who will manage this urgent requirement from initial call to job completion.

POWER GENERATION TURBOCHARGER OVERHAUL AND REPAIR

Since 1989, TSI has provided top-quality service and overhaul work for turbochargers. Our skilled engineers handle all aspects of overhaul while on site.

We train our engineers to be proficient in the latest turbocharger models from ABB, MAN, Mitsubishi, Napier, and KBB.

TRAINING SCHOOL

TSI has established a training school in the UK with supplementary training areas in each of its sites to facilitate ongoing improvement and instruction of our engineers, internal workforce, and agents.

In 2025, this training centre will be introduced to the industry and will offer both theoretical and hands-on training sessions tailored to engineers, salespersons, procurement specialists, and ship’s crew.
