Joining Technologies, an innovator in industrial laser applications, has announced it has been named to the Hartford Courant/Fox CT top 50 workplaces list for 2012.

The company was also named to the list in 2011, when it won a special innovation award. The company was one of only two winners in the manufacturing category.

The list of 50 winners of the top workplaces in the Greater Hartford area was generated by an outside research firm selected by The Courant and Fox CT to analyze employees’ responses to 24 questions about the organizations’ leadership, direction and culture.

"Being named to the list of top workplaces in the Greater Hartford area is extremely gratifying because it demonstrates how much our employees value our commitment to helping customers solve metal joining challenges," said Joining Technologies president David Hudson.

Joining Technologies is recognized as a leading innovator in precision joining applications and laser additive manufacturing, offering laser welding, electron beam welding, laser additive manufacturing, and laser cutting. The East Granby, CT, company offers everything from welding services to complete systems design, manufactured, and delivered to the customer’s production floor. Joining Tech is also well known for comprehensive supply chain management and its complete subcontract manufacturing services.

Hartford Courant said: "It’s difficult for manufacturers to compete against service companies, but two businesses from the goods-producing sector, including Joining Technologies, are repeat winners from last year, and both got there by innovation and openness to new ideas from the workforce."
