SGT 400 Pilot Burner Overhaul

Skyline Turbine Services has recently overhauled two sets of SGT 400 pilot burners that had damaged main liquid fuel ferrules, sheared off thermocouple bayonet fixings, as well as cracked coatings and damaged mother material.

The pilot burners were cleaned and flow tested, and all coating was removed from the face. The material was determined and then weld repaired.

The pilot burners received a heat treatment and were reassembled. A new coating was then applied to the face of the fuel nozzle, which was flow tested to confirm that it was within specifications and that the spread of natural gas fuel flow was acceptable.
