Germany’s power industry registered a 7.5% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 9.63% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.86% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.01% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 41.98% in August 2022, registering a 4.23% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 23.46% share, an increase of 52% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 22.84%, registering a 27.45% decline from July 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 8.02%, up 8.33% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s power industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

Nordex posted 38 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 18.75% over the previous month, followed by E.ON with 29 jobs and a 38.1% growth. Siemens with 24 IT jobs and Siemens Energy with 21 jobs, recorded a 52.94% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Vattenfall recorded a decline of 25% with 12 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.54%, up by 4.2% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.43% share, registered a decline of 13.79% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.41% share, down 25% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.62%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
