The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.33% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.61% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.85% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s power industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
NextEra Energy posted 132 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 14.78% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 113 jobs and an 8.13% drop. Schneider Electric with 80 IT jobs and Exelon with 75 jobs, recorded a 19.4% growth and a 63.04% growth, respectively, while Xcel Energy recorded an increase of 2.63% with 39 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.16%, up by 15.15% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 32.54% share, registered an increase of 27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 16.78% share, down 4.38% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.51%, recording a month-on-month increase of 33.33%.
