ACWA Moheshkhali LNG Power Plant, Bangladesh

The ACWA Moheshkhali LNG Power Plant is 3,600MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Description

The project is being developed by ACWA Power International, Bangladesh Power Development Board and Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

It is a thermal power plant. The fuel will be procured from saudi aramco.

The project cost is expected to be around $3,239.474m.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

It also retails energy in Chattogram, Cumilla, Mymensing and Sylhet distribution zones. BPDC is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
