Description
The project is currently owned by Index Energy.
The project cost is $115m.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
The project consists of 2 turbines each with 8.9 MW nameplate capacity and 1 turbines each with 7.2 MW nameplate capacity respectively.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

HMI Construction was selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.
