The project is currently owned by Basin Electric Power Coop with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from The Coteau Properties Company’s Freedom Mine in Beulah, North Dakota, United States.
The project generated 5,252,179MWh and emitted 6,556,710t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $319m.
