T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in January 2020 with 238 tenders and a 52.1% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 104 tenders and a 22.8% share and Power Plant with 62 tenders and a 13.6% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 40 tenders and an 85.1% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: seven tenders and a 14.9% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in January 2020
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 45 tenders with a 95.7% share, followed by nuclear with one tender and a 2.1% share and solar with one tender and a 2.1% share.
