Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in March 2022 with 60 contracts and a 37.7% share, followed by T&D Project with 34 contracts and a 21.4% share and Generation Equipment with 27 contracts and a 17% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 43 contracts and a 71.7% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: nine contracts and a 15% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: five contracts and an 8.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: three contracts and a 5% share.
Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific power plant contracts in March 2022
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for 43 contracts with a 66.2% share, followed by thermal with 11 contracts and a 16.9% share and wind with eight contracts and a 12.3% share.
