The proportion of solar technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with 29 tenders and an 85.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and a 5.9% share
  3. Supply & Erection: one tender and a 2.9% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 2.9% share
  5. Electricity Supply: one tender and a 2.9% share.

India tops Asia-Pacific solar power tenders activity

India was the top country in the Asia-Pacific region for solar technology tenders recorded in August 2021 with 20 tenders and a 58.8% share, followed by Australia with five tenders and a 14.7% share and Afghanistan with two tenders and a 5.9% share.

Asia-Pacific solar technology tenders in August 2021: Top companies by capacity

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. University of Auckland (New Zealand): 31,400MW from one tender
  2. NHPC (India): 700MW from three tenders
  3. National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan): 500MW capacity from one tender.
