T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in March 2020 with 169 tenders and a 41.8% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 122 tenders and a 30.2% share and Generation Equipment with 54 tenders and a 13.4% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 98 tenders and an 80.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 21 tenders and a 17.2% share
  3. Project Implementation: three tenders and a 2.5% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in March 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for four tenders with a 50% share, followed by hydro with three tenders and a 37.5% share and solar with one tender and a 12.5% share.
