Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in July 2022 with 44 contracts and a 41.5% share, followed by T&D Project with 37 contracts and a 34.9% share and Generation Equipment with ten contracts and a 9.4% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 20 contracts and a 54.1% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: 17 contracts and a 45.9% share.

The top issuers of T&D project contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. State Grid Energy Hefeng Coal and Electricity: 300MW from one contract
  2. China Gezhouba Group (China): 124MW from one contract
  3. Gansu Fadian (Jinchang) New Energy and Inner Mongolia Jinghai Coal Gangue Power Generation (China): 100MW capacity from one contract.

Asia-Pacific T&D project contracts in July 2022: Top winners by capacity

The top winners of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. China Energy Engineering (China): 1,127MW from seven contracts
  2. Shanghai Electric Power Construction (China): 700MW from two contracts
  3. Hebei Engineering (China): 100MW capacity from one contract.
