Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Yorke Peninsula Wind Farm Project.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 225,000 households, to offset 2,500,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $1,600m.
The project will have 140m high towers.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in June 2024.
Contractors Involved
Senvion will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 170 turbines, each with 3.7MW nameplate capacity.
