EGA – Jebel Ali Power Plant is a 2,350MW gas fired power project. It is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1979.

Description

The project is currently owned by Emirates Global Aluminium with a stake of 100%.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Oil.

The Gas fired project consists of 7 steam turbines.

The project got commissioned in 1979.

GE Power was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 8 units of Frame 5 gas turbines.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 5 units of Frame 9B gas turbines.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 6 units of Frame 9E gas turbines.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of GT13DM gas turbine.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of GT13E2 gas turbines.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

The steam boilers for the gas fired power project have been supplied byBilfinger and John Cockerill Group.
