Description

The project was developed by Ventolines and is currently owned by Windpark Fryslan with a stake of 75.5%.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 1,500,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 500,000 households, offsetting 800,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $588m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Eneco Holding under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 382.7MW.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 89 units of SWT-DD-130 turbines, each with 4.3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 16 years.
