Gulf of Suez – EETC-II is a 200MW onshore wind power project. It is planned in Suez, Egypt. The project is currently in financing stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed by New and Renewable Energy Authority and is currently owned by Egyptian Electricity Transmission.

The project is expected to generate 650,000MWh electricity to offset 289,955t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $323.6m.

The wind power project consists of 100 turbines.
