Middle East and Africa power industry tenders in April 2022: South Africa leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, South Africa led the activity in April 2022 with 26 tenders and a share of 74.3%, up 21.9% over the previous month and down 65% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Tanzania with one tender and a share of 2.9% and Cameroon with one tender and a share of 2.9% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, South Africa held the top spot with 75 tenders, followed by Kenya with six and Zimbabwe with five tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in April 2022
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with five tenders and a 50% share, followed by thermal with five tenders and a 50% share.
