Description

The project is currently owned by Ministry of Electricity, Iraq with a stake of 100%.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on gasoil. The fuel is procured from South Pars gas field.

Farab was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Al Sadr Power Plant (Al Sadr Power Plant Phase II Unit 3&4) project. SUNIR was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Al Sadr Power Plant (Al Sadr Power Plant Phase I Unit 1&2) project.

Al Sadr Power Plant (Al Sadr Power Plant Phase I Unit 1&2) is equipped with Siemens gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines, each with 162MW nameplate capacity.

Al Sadr Power Plant (Al Sadr Power Plant Phase II Unit 3&4) is equipped with Siemens gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.

SUNIR is the O&M contractor for the Al Sadr Power Plant (Al Sadr Power Plant Phase I Unit 1&2).
