Description

The project is being developed by Acwa Power, Mitsui and Vision Invest. Acwa Power, Mitsui and Almoayyed International Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 30% and 10% respectively.

Bahrain Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 2,000,000 square meters.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricity & Water Authority under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.039kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 100MW.

Contractors involved

The First National Operation & Maintenance is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
