Description
The project was developed by Caisse des Depots et Consignations, Leroux et Lotz Technologies and Orano. Coriance and Caisse des Depots et Consignations are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
The project generates 102GWh electricity thereby offsetting 46,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood chips which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
