Description

The project is being developed by Ekibastuz Plant SDPS-2. The project is co-owned by Samruk-Energy and Samruk-Kazyna, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from Ekibastuz coal basin.

The project will generate 4,800,000MWh of electricity.

The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
