Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Jawaharpur Vidyut Utpadan Nigam. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant will run on Heavy Fuel Oil, Light Diesel Oil. The fuel will be procured from Saharpur-Jamarpani Coal Block.
The project cost is expected to be around $1,382.59m.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in May 2023.
