Description

The project was developed by Keppel Merlimau Cogen. Keppel Infrastructure Trust and Keppel are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Oil. The fuel is procured from Keppel Gas Ltd.

Development status

The project got commissioned in April 2007.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Keppel Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 1,300MW.
