Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Volta River Authority. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that will be used for Peakload. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel will be procured from West African Gas Pipeline.
